Holly Hunter was an American actor who was famous due to her roles in films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The actress won numerous awards, including an Oscar for the film Piano. The talented actress began her career as an actor by performing on stage, by performing in a myriad of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. In her early years, Helen Keller was her favorite character in a 5th class show. Her mumps left her deaf and blind in one ear. But she didn't let this to hinder her ambitions of becoming an actress. In her early years, she was a drama student in college and moved from Pittsburgh to New York City from Pittsburgh so that she could pursue her ambitions. Hunter met Beth Henley by chance in an lift. Together, they wrote Broadway Crimes of the Heart. This was Hunter's acting debut. After moving to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to find film roles. A supporting role was secured in Swing Shift. Holly Hunter has been in a number of movies, television shows and movies over the course of her 30-year career. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and the Women in Film Lucy Award.
